EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS
It is important to use the correct equipment to obtain a streak free finish. All of this equipment can be purchased from a local hardware store or a cleaning supplies shop.
Bucket – big enough to fit several sized squeegee’s and a washer together.
Squeegee – Select a suitable sized squeegee for the area of glass to be cleaned.
Washer – Comes in two pieces: t-bar and the applicator.
As the applicator gets dirty ensure it is reqularly rinsed off to prevent soiling of the glass.
Applicators: Course, medium and soft. From — Ettore, Unger, Pall-Mall and Pulex.
Scraper – comes with replaceable metal blades. You may need a scraper to remove old paint spatter or tough marks.
Please remember to be carefull when scrapping some glass because some glass can be window tinted. Take care when using scrapers on glass! If you don’t know the correct methods, always wet the window first before using a scrapper.
Detergent – Most window cleaners prefer a dishwashing detergent such as “Morning fresh”.
